What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it removed. Written plainly, because a privacy notice nobody can read protects nobody.

What we collect
When you make a booking we collect:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number
- the details of the booking itself: the property or vehicle, the dates, how many people are travelling, where you would like to be picked up, and any note you add
If you apply to list a business we also collect your business name, the town or county you operate in, your contact details, and whatever you tell us about the business in the application.
When you book a flight we also collect, for each traveller:
- the full name exactly as it appears on the travel document
- the date of birth, and the title and gender the airline requires
- the travel document details the airline asks for on that route, which can include a passport number, its country of issue and its expiry
- the itinerary itself: the airports, dates, cabin, airline, flight numbers, ticket numbers and the booking references
- the email address and phone number the booking is made under
We do not collect or store your card number. Card payments for flights are entered in Duffel Payments’ own form and go straight to them; what comes back to us is whether the payment succeeded and what it cost, never the card itself.
Why we collect it
To pass your booking to the business you are booking with, so they can expect you and reach you. To let you look up your own booking later using its reference. To let you leave a review of a stay you actually had. And, for partners, to run your account and calculate the commission on your bookings.
For a flight, to book and ticket it with the airline, to send you the confirmation and the ticket numbers, to let you find the booking again with your reference and email, and to deal with a change, a cancellation or a refund afterwards. An airline cannot issue a ticket without these details, so there is no way to book a flight without giving them.
Who else sees it
The business you book with. When you book, the property or rental company sees your name, email address, phone number and the details of your booking. They need it to host you. They are separately responsible for how they then handle it.
The airline, and Duffel. When you book a flight, the traveller details and itinerary are sent through Duffel — the flight booking and payments provider Waykaro uses — to the airline that will carry you, and onward to the systems airlines share for ticketing, check-in and border requirements. Flights are international by nature, so those details are handled outside Liberia and outside your own country. Duffel and the airline are each separately responsible for what they then do with them.
The companies that run our infrastructure. The site is hosted by Vercel, and the database and sign-in system are provided by Supabase, which stores data on Amazon Web Services. They process data on our instructions in order to run the service.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to advertisers.
Reviews are public
A review you publish is visible to everyone, shown with the first name you gave on the booking. Do not put anything in a review that you would not want to be public.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept while your booking is live and afterwards as a business record, so that we can settle commission correctly and resolve any dispute about what was agreed. Flight booking records, including the traveller details printed on the ticket, are kept for the same reason and because an airline or a tax authority can ask about a ticket long after it was flown. Partner account records are kept for as long as the account exists. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
Cookies and sign-in
Waykaro does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Signing in as a partner or an administrator sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. That is the only cookie the site relies on.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@waykaro.com and include your booking reference if your request is about a booking, so we can find the right record without asking for more information than we need.
Where a booking has already been passed to a property or rental company, you may need to ask them separately, since they hold their own copy.
Keeping it safe
Bookings can only be looked up with both the booking reference and the email address used to make them. Partner and administrator areas require a sign-in, and each business can only see its own bookings. No system is perfect, but nothing on Waykaro is open to be read by anyone who simply asks.
Children
Waykaro is meant for adults making bookings. Children can of course be included as guests on a booking made by an adult.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top will change with it.
